PPAB - Level I

When the Feet Hit the Ground -
  Everything Changes

The foot and the body.

The primary role of the foot is weight-bearing. How it functions when it hits the ground affects the biomechanics of the entire body. In this information packed 3-day, hands-on practical seminar, you'll gain an understanding of the weight-bearing foot which you will use in treating the total patient.

Treating the causes as well as the symptoms.

Through discussions, hands-on workshops, slides and case presentations, you'll learn to understand the healthy foot and recognize and identify foot abnormalities related to your patient's problems. You will perform a meaningful biomechanical examination and confidently be able to match the symptoms of faulty biomechanics with the problems that cause them. Your treatment will then be effectively directed towards treating the causes.

Getting comfortable with orthotic therapy.

You'll make technically correct neutral positions casts - key elements for successful orthotic therapy. You'll learn about the specific function of available orthotic therapy - a proven tool in the management of the body's interrelated locomotor dysfunctions.
