This course is specifically designed for the practitioner who is interested in total lower quarter assessment with special emphasis on the pelvis. A thorough understanding of the mechanics of the pelvis is crucial to identifying dysfunction in the proximal kinetic chain and planning appropriate interventions.
The course will examine the kinetic chain and the influence of ground reaction forces and distal mechanics on the pelvis. Functional anatomy of the osseous and soft tissue components will be explored. There will be heavy emphasis on identifying, diagnosing, and correcting pelvic asymmetry through lecture and lab sessions. A working understanding of distal limb biomechanics is necessary, and completion of the Level I course, “When the Feet Hit the Ground…Everything Changes” is recommended.
